Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because he first loved us."
(1 John 4:18,19)

This is one of my go-to verses when I feel overwhelmed or fearful - this is a promise I cling to...

"There is NO FEAR in love; but PERFECT LOVE casts out fear."

Amen! The next phrase says, "because fear involves torment."

Ain't it the truth! When fear grips you it suffocates; it clinches you with its deadly pinions, blinding you with its threatening glare. Fear separates you from your confidence in God's abilities.

2 Timothy 1:7 reads, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

God has not given us a spirit of fear!
His perfect love CASTS out fear!

Think on these things when the torment of fear rears its ugly head.

His perfect love is within you.

Praise You, Father! Your love means so much to me. Thank You. It quiets me when I feel afraid; it gives me confidence and reminds me that You are with me. I appreciate that so much. Remind me to quickly take authority over the spirit of fear when it seeks to overwhelm me because greater are You that is in me than he that is in the world. I can see Your mighty hand casting the fear away from me like a giant stone. Yes, Lord, I can see that clearly and I thank You for it.
