Scriptures of Encouragement ~ My Determined Purpose

"[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

"that if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body]" ~ Phillipians 3:10,11, The Amplified Study Bible

Blessed be the Name of our RISEN Lord, Jesus!

Father God, We praise You and we thank You for Jesus. You have called us to be more like Him in every way so that we might take Your love into a hurting, dying world. Awaken our hearts to answer Your call. Infuse us with the resurrection power to accomplish the tasks at hand. Be glorified through Your children, Lord. You are a mighty God. You are a good God. Thank You for Your love.

  1. What a great post, Nan! I absolutely loved it! Although, I always love your what's new? To know Him in the fellowship of His sufferings, ouch! We don't like to suffer. As Christians, we somehow think we're immune to it. But for heaven's sake, what makes us think that if Christ suffered, we're not going to experience it? Love you, precious friend!

    1. You are absolutely correct, Jamie. When we suffer for righteousness' sake, we learn that our faith really is more precious than gold. That is a lesson the world cannot take away.
