He Will Carry You

"The Lord your God, who goes before you, He will fight for you, according to all He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place." ~ Deuteronomy 1:30,31. NKJV

I can sense in my spirit that many of my brothers and sisters are crumbling beneath the weight of finances, illness, loneliness, broken relationships, shame...

Dear one, you are not alone. Let me say it are not alone. The Lord Most High is with you. Can we fathom it? Can we allow the eyes of our heart to see ourselves lifted into the arms of the One who loves us? His love knows no bounds. He loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die for us so that we could know Him.

Father God carries you in His arms of love.

Dare to believe this awesome truth. The world would want to mock you for believing such an impossibility, but I would say to you: I know in my knower that I have been carried by my Lord. In my darkest moments - my deepest despair -I felt His Presence, I knew His love. When I felt like my heart would literally break in two, He lifted me and held me near to His heart.

Do you feel faint from your burdens? Do you feel you can't go on? The Lord promised us He would never leave us nor forsake us. When you feel as though you are all alone in your pain, that is when He is carrying you.

Father, Your love astounds me. Thank You - from the bottom of my heart, thank You. Help each of us grasp the Truth of Your love. Open the eyes of our hearts to see and experience Your strong arms lifting us above our burdens and carrying us until we get to the other side. You are an amazing God. We love you Lord.

  1. In my online chronological Bible study with Shannon Mullins (a CCC graduate!), we're currently in the book of Job. And today, your post is the SECOND of my friends' blog posts I've seen about suffering. I believe God is saying something.

Check out the Bible study here:

Have a blessed day, sweet friend!

  2. Amen! I cannot begin to tell you how much suffering we have gone through in the last two months... The Lord has spoken to us so clearly during the last few days about this very things.

We have been betrayed, stabbed in the back by my father in law. The money he had PROMISED to give us, promise based on which we were looking for our new home, now is gone. He has gone back on his word because he disagrees with our relentless determination to sell our apartment no matter what. He has done everything he could to prevail upon us, to prevent us from making our own decision. Now, he's blackmailing us with this. My husband is now unemployed because he was working with his dad, and of course, he doesn't want to come back to the office. And he will go today, because we strongly feel (I don't know if led by the Holy Spirit or what, but I've been praying and fasting a lot about this) he has to go and talk to him, like Moses had to go before Pharaoh and demand what was rightly his. In this case, he has to demand the fulfillment of a promise. We are praying fervently that only the Holy Spirit will speak during that meeting. We have so many arguments we could offer, but in the end it all boils down to what the Holy Spirit wants him to say. Because that's what He can use to bring conviction of sin.

As you can imagine, your post again hit the nail on the head. Not only because of the Egypt connection (this is one story that has repeatedly come to mind, the other is that of Joseph sold to slavery by his brothers) but because what we've been praying most earnestly is God's presence. The one thing we need, all in all, is for God to go with us wherever we need to go. To choose the house for us, and pay it in whichever way He chooses.

Yes, spiritually we have left Egypt already... and we are no longer walking in circles because we KNOW God is with us. He's confirming us once again what He told us through so many psalms and other chapters in God's precious Word. He KNOWS the utter unfairness of this situation, the ugly iniquity that has been committed against us, the manipulations and Jezabel-like threats the devil has spoken through this poor lost soul. To be honest, we are hurt and angry but we're still praying for mercy for these people. We don't feel it. Right now, we're fighting against bitterness and hatred and most of our prayers sound more like David's than like Jesus'.

I need a lot of prayer. We feel closer to God than two days ago, because once again we've had to crush our idols and forsake the seeming "security" of Egypt. We're aware now that we were eating poisoned food and earning dirty money, because we were moving against God's will in depending on these people's help. Perhaps it will sound contradictory to now go and demand for money. Well, if I could tell you guys the whole story (which goes back to an inheritance my husband was supposed to receive from his godmother and his dad cut in half), you'd see it makes sense. We're making one final attempt to get them to do the right thing. If God decides to harden this heart, Pharaoh will (at least for the time being) lose his first born-son.
