Where Is God? Sunday Glimpses

by Nan Jones  @NanJonesAuthor

Precious Lord, I love You so much. My heart yearns to know You more. Thank You for opening the eyes of my understanding to recognize Your Presence. Thank You for teaching me to recognize Your voice. You are an amazing God!

So many of my friends are hurting or filled with fear. I know You see them and I know that, even now, You are working on their behalf because they have called out to You and trusted You to help them. You are so faithful, Lord. Help them to wait on You, to rest in Your Presence, to stand on Your Word. Help them to walk by faith and not by sight, knowing that by Your very nature You delight in meeting the needs of Your children.

We choose, Lord, to seek the Giver and not the gift, to seek the Healer and not the healing. We choose to seek You, for it is in the seeking that we find You. Help my friends to find You in all of Your fullness. Thank You for helping me in the same regard.

I ask that You pour out Your grace on those who need Your special touch. Renew their strength. Fill them with laughter over the absurdities of life and fill them with hope as they face their tomorrows with You. Thank You Father. Your love is amazing. We bless Your holy Name and give You praise.

  1. Hi Nan! It takes a lot of spiritual maturity to seek the Healer without looking for healing. That's an amazing concept that I need to take deep and contemplate. It's my nature to ask and ask, and I am only now learning to sit back and accept the grace he wants to give me. It's not easy!
    Blessings,
    Ceil

    1. Ceil, You're so precious. I'm learning the same lesson. It's a journey, isn't it? A wonderful, incredulous journey...
