Where Is God? Sunday Glimpses

by Nan Jones   @NanJonesAuthor

Father, You are so good. Your tender mercies are from everlasting to everlasting. Your power is great, Your strong arm mighty. I need you, Lord. I need to be strengthened in body and spirit. I'm asking that You pour out Your grace and submerge me in Your love. Bring my thoughts captive to You, Lord. Rip away the imaginations that are not of You, the ones that plague my mind. I pray for my friends who are struggling and ask that You would encourage them also. Thank You for Your arms that are forever beneath us holding, comforting, protecting. I find great comfort in that. I ask that You make that reassuring thought a reality in the lives of my friends. Open our eyes to see You, to recognize Your Presence in our lives. May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be pleasing to You as we sense You drawing near. Thank You for being faithful and merciful. Always. Thank You for surrounding us with Your love.

  1. One of my favorite memories from childhood is how my mom would end her prayers with Psalm 19:14. This is beautiful Nan :-) I can feel God's presence as I pray it with you.

    1. You blessed me with your sweet words. Thank you. Each time I write Sunday Glimpses I ask the Lord to use our conversation (prayer) to draw others into His presence. How wonderful it is that He is answering that prayer.
