Where Is God? Sunday Glimpses

by Nan Jones

Bless You, Lord! What an awesome God You are. None compares with Your might, with Your mercy, and Your faithfulness. Thank You. Thank You that we can stand on Your promises, we can trust in You. You have promised to never leave us, to never forsake us. You have promised to be our song in the night, our refuge in the storm. Open our eyes to see You in our storms. You are there, Lord. Your voice, Your power, the beauty of Your holiness - all are evidenced when the storm clouds roll. Awaken the eyes of our understanding. Help us take You out of our proverbial boxes and understand the magnificence of who You are and that, although, You are this mighty, awesome God, You are tender and compassionate toward Your children. You are drawn to our pain, our disappointments, our confusion, and doubts. You are not repelled by our questions. You are bigger than our tantrums, for You are our Abba, Father - our Daddy God. I find peace in that knowledge. I take great comfort in the knowledge that Your Presence is strong and sure in the midst of my storms. I ask that my readers will receive the same assurance. Quicken this truth to them, Lord, in the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

  1. Hi Nan! What a great line...God is bigger than our tantrums. Just like any parent!
Thank you for your prayer today. Of course I face storms, big and little in my day. But I have to remember that the one who calms the storm is in my corner.
Hope you had a good Monday :)

    1. That is a wonderful thought, isn't it? I am SO thankful that He is big enough to handle my tantrums and merciful enough to want to. Believe me, I've had plenty in my day :)
