The Lord Surrounds His People

"Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever...Do good, O Lord, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts."
(Psalm 125:1,2,4)

Can you picture this comforting, powerful image? Just like "the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people."

The Lord SURROUNDS His people!
Thank You, Father.

Do you know what this reminds me of? It's one of my favorite verses spoken by Jesus: John 15:9, "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love." The Living Bible says, "live within My love."

I think this correlation is beautiful!

The Lord SURROUNDS His people like the mountains surround Jerusalem.
Jesus tells us to live WITHIN His love - surrounded protected, kept.

We are treasured by our heavenly Father. We are precious to Him. Yes, dear child, YOU are precious to Him!

Can you take hold of this? Are you hurting? Do you feel alone, abandoned in your quest to do something with your life? Do not listen to the deceptive lies of the enemy - YOU are a child of God, surrounded by the Lord Himself, kept by the power of His love.

Yes, we are surrounded by His love from this time forth and forever.

Father, I am immediately reminded of Your grace. You know what we need even before we know. You knew before the earth was born that we would need Your ever-abiding Presence in our lives. Like a newborn child, we need You - Your sustenance, Your protection, Your love. I feel so safe - so peaceful - when I think of You completely surrounding me with Your Presence and Your incredible love. Thank You, Lord.
