He Will Give You Rest

"For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law; but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them...Then they took an oath before the Lord with a loud voice, with shouting and trumpets and ram's horns. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath for they had sworn with all their heart and sought Him with all their soul, and he was found by them, and the Lord gave them rest all around."
(2 Chronicles 15:3,4,14,15)

Have you been wandering around in a wilderness, searching frantically for a way out? Are you weary? Disillusioned? Has your rebellion - big or small - separated you from the One True God? You know, the One that you loved so completely only days or weeks ago?

But God promises that when we seek Him we will be found by Him. That's a promise. He is waiting for your return. Forgiving, amazing grace abounds for you, His child.

And rest. Did I mention that He will give you rest?

Yep. That's what He said.

Rest.

Father, Your rest is such a wonderful promise. It is a gift that only You can give. Thank You. Thank You for finding us when we are lost and looking for You. Open our hearts to receive Your love, our ears to hear Your voice. You are the One we adore. Your love is beyond comprehension. Praise You, Father.
