If only we could grasp the transforming power of the Word of God! There is a life-giving flow that traverses through its pages, word by word, bringing about effectual change in the life of a Believer.
Words BREATHED by the Spirit of God!
Oh, my goodness...can we really fathom this?
James 1:18 says, "Of His own will He brought us forth by the Word of Truth..."
"Brought us forth" where? Into new life! How? By the Word of Truth!
Jesus Christ IS the Word of Truth - the Word of God that transforms, restores and effectively works in us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Isn't it good to know that our life CAN change, not because of who we are, but because of Who He is - the Word of Truth - breathed into us straight from the throne of God?
Lord, Your breath of Life is amazing beyond words. I cannot truly fathom how a written Word can bear life-changing power, yet I know that it does. Your Word is alive, powerful. It is a two-edged sword penetrating the depths of the soul, separating the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. And, Lord, Your Word became flesh and lived among us bringing Light into our darkness. Such things are too marvelous to understand. Give us discernment to know the difference between Your Word and the words of men. Help us all to take in a deep breath full of Your life- changing Spirit. Discipline us to study and devour Your Word of Truth. Thank You, Lord. Bless Your Holy Name!
